I took the "Game Development Fundamentals in Unreal Engine 5" workshop and I'm really happy with it. The program covers both the basics — like Blueprints and working with animations — and more advanced topics, such as AI Behavior Trees and VFX in Niagara. I appreciated having video lessons plus the option to ask the Unreal Authorized Instructor questions through Discord, which made it easy to work through the tricky parts quickly. The assignments are well structured and walk you through the engine's features step by step. The final diploma project was especially valuable: you get to apply everything you've learned and receive helpful feedback. I'd recommend this course to anyone who wants to dive deeper into Unreal Engine and start building games.

The "Game Development Fundamentals in Unreal Engine 5" workshop turned out to be an excellent choice, and I'm really glad I took it. The Unreal Instructor, Ivan Halimau, explained everything clearly and was always there to help whenever I ran into difficulties. I gained a lot of useful knowledge and skills that helped me start building my own games. By the end I'd developed the foundation of my first game and learned my way around many of the engine's tools. What's more, this knowledge helped me get into a game design program at a university in Finland.

I'm absolutely thrilled with it. This wasn't my first experience — I was already familiar with the engine and with Ivan, the instructor and founder of the academy. He was my teacher back in the Unreal Engine 4 development course, and I can say that the growth wasn't only in the engine itself, but in Ivan's professionalism too. He and his team work in a coordinated, well-organized way. Everything is clear and leaves no room for confusion. And if something does come up — whether about how the course is run or the lessons themselves — they'll explain it in detail and give you feedback on every question. The lessons are well structured and thoughtfully sequenced, building in pace and complexity as the course goes on. It gets more interesting with every new lesson — the learning never gets dull, and the assignments never feel like a burden.

I'd tried to get into Unreal Engine many times — on my own and through other platforms like Udemy and SkillBox — but this is the only course where I made it all the way through. Most courses get so caught up in the technical side that the actual idea gets lost; here there's a real balance between creativity and the tech. Two weeks in, my daughter was already playing the platformer I'd built. My friends who are deep into C++ were honestly stunned by my final project — it looks like some well-known AAA games, but I made it with my own hands. I'd recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into game dev: by the end, that desire is ten times stronger.

I started the digital art course in Unreal Engine with absolutely zero knowledge. I really wanted to learn how to create visually realistic projects in UE, and Ivan's explanations — along with the logical order topics are taught in — help you master all the details, from building materials to animating characters. Despite having no skills with the software at all, by the end of the course I had five diploma pieces in hand — cinematics of about a minute and a half each — plus a number of renders for my portfolio. I also received a certificate on completion. Highly recommend CGSENSEI Academy.
